Due to the current situation, this years Swiss Innovation Forum (SIF) and the Swiss Technology Award ceremony were held virtually from 17–19 November. True to its current theme "It's Time To Innovate – NOW", giving up and cancelling was not an option for the leading Swiss innovation conference. We were delighted to be a Knowledge- and Award-partner (Swiss Technology Awards) of this interactive, new format.

Around 40 speakers from Switzerland and abroad showed us around in the world of innovation in their inspiring breakout sessions and keynotes.
Swiss Design Association was represented in the virtual FutureExpo where we were able to network without masks. This year, SDA hosted two projects that show how design is leading innovation in creating new ways of making data accessible for all users (creators, industries, end-users & visitors), namely “CoDeFa”, a joined research project of Institute Integrative Design|Masterstudio FHNW and ERNE AG Holzbau, co-financed by Innosuisse, as well as “Interactive Replicas”, by Studio INT with roots in Lausanne.

Each year, outstanding technology-based innovations and developments from start-ups, universities and technical institutions as well as established businesses are awarded prizes in three categories for the Swiss Technology Award. We had the honour to be represented again in the main jury and preliminary jury of this high end innovation award and contribute to support and promote the culture of innovation as an Award-partner.

Also in 2021 we will be there at the Swiss Innovation Forum to represent and promote Swiss Design as one of the important stakeholders in Swiss innovation and economy. We are looking forward to it!
