Andreas Kölbener and I focused on the exchange between traditional craftsmanship and design. For this purpose, we developed a regional furniture series where everything originates from a single forest called Lenggewäädli. Our goal was to introduce a new aesthetic approach to ecological design, for which we experimented with unconventional design processes. We began by searching for stones that could not only aesthetically represent the mountain forest but also serve a functional purpose in the furniture. Subsequently, we designed furniture pieces incorporating these stones. The entire series is produced from wood harvested within the moon phases of 2021 from the same forest. We incorporated wedges to avoid using glue for connections. The series includes four different designs: a coffee table, an hight adjustable lamp, stools, and a bench.
