Crayon was originally intended by Luca Maibach and Silja Fleischli as a stool for classrooms, hence the clear design reference to coloured pencils. The graphic and colourful design is meant to bring a certain lightness and cheerfulness to any room and evoke a familiar memory of coloured pencils. In the meantime, we are no longer limiting the range of applications to the school context, but have broadened the possible uses: from private homes to workspaces and schools. The stool is available in two sizes, for children and adults. Crayon can be stacked evenly and staggered, as well as in different sizes. The stacking option means that the stool can be used in a space-efficient manner. It is also light and robust, making it suitable for flexible and dynamic use in various scenarios. The project won the Jungdesign audience award at the Gewerbemuseum Winterthur and appeared in Wohnrevue 07-08/24.
