The “Luiz Chair” is a lounge chair inspired by the antique “Savonarola Chair”. In our design, the wooden frame was transferred into a weave of leather straps that stretch each other from above and below. The leather weave is held in place by a steel frame. A deliberate tension of opposites is created, both in the formal language and with the materiality, between.
